| For those of you, like me, who have
neither met nor watched Sun Harley-Davidson’s sponsored All Harley Drag
Racing Association (AHDRA) professional, he has graciously agreed to
provide our web site with a short biography of himself.
I think you will find interesting what he has written below.
We’ve also asked for some action shots of him doing what he does
best, burn up the track, and hope to publish them here within the next
month. |

"Hi, my name is Dan Norlin. I was born on April 10, 1968 in
Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grew up in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Growing
up, I played a lot of sports and was very competitive.
I graduated from Columbia Heights High School. After high school I joined
the U.S. Army. I served three years with the 82nd Airborne Division at
Fort Bragg North Carolina. After my tour in the army, I moved back to
Minnesota and attended college at Saint Cloud State University. From
college I took a job as a branch manager with S.I. Industries and
relocated to Denver to run the branch.
In 1996 I bought my first Harley-Davidson® motorcycle from Sun
Harley-Davidson and was hooked on riding ever since. Since then I have
owned three Buell® bikes and a 2002 V-Rod® motorcycle. In 1998 I decided to give drag
racing a shot, and have been hooked ever since.
Currently, I run a 1998 Buell S1W in the Heads Up Hotstreet class. My
Buell® bike puts out 140 horsepower at the wheel, and 107 ft. pounds of torque.
The fastest I've ran on the Buell® bike is 10.12 seconds at 132.65 mph. in 2005
I took 2nd in the nation, and plan to give the #1 guy a run for his money
in 2006.
I also run my V-Rod® motorcycle in the SEP and ET classes. The last couple of years I
finished high in the rankings, and am striving for the #1 place in booth
classes.
